This policy describes when and how refunds are processed for payments made to Easy Seva Foundation.
1. Nature of Contributions
Donor contributions are part of a mutual-benefit community welfare pool. Once paid, contributions are added to the pooled fund and may be disbursed to eligible donors. Therefore, contributions are generally non-refundable, except under the specific circumstances described below.
2. Duplicate or Accidental Payments
If you accidentally make a duplicate payment (paying twice in the same month for the same tier):
- Notify us via WhatsApp or email within 7 days of the transaction
- Provide the transaction reference(s) and proof (screenshot/bank statement)
- Refund will be initiated to the original payment method within 7-10 working days after verification
3. Failed Transactions
If your payment is deducted but not credited to your donor account due to a technical error:
- We'll automatically identify and reverse such transactions within 7 working days
- If not reversed, contact us with the reference number — refund within 5 working days of verification
4. Unauthorized Transactions
If you notice an unauthorized charge, notify us within 48 hours. We'll investigate jointly with Razorpay and refund verified unauthorized charges within 15 working days.
5. Closing Your Donor Account
You may close your donor account at any time. On closure:
- No further monthly contributions will be collected
- Past contributions already added to the community welfare pool are not refundable (they've been / will be used to support other donors)
- Any pending auto-debit mandates will be cancelled
- Your account will be marked inactive, and eligibility for future benefits will lapse
6. Donation / Crowdfunding Contributions
Contributions made to specific crowdfunding campaigns (for named beneficiaries) are:
- Non-refundable once the campaign has disbursed funds or reached its goal
- If a campaign is cancelled before disbursal due to admin verification failure or beneficiary request, contributions will be refunded within 15 working days
- Contributions may be redirected to a similar cause only with explicit consent from the donor
7. Processing Time
- UPI / Wallets: 3-7 working days
- Debit/Credit Card: 7-14 working days
- Net Banking: 5-10 working days
Processing times are dependent on your bank. We process refunds from our end within 5 working days of approval.
8. How to Request a Refund
Send an email to refunds@easylifefoundation.org or WhatsApp us at +91 98765 43210 with:
- Your donor ID and registered mobile number
- Transaction reference number and date
- Reason for refund request
- Any supporting screenshots
You'll receive an acknowledgement within 24 hours and a final response within 7 working days.
